I am so excited to be celebrating with my friend Marissa from The Inspired Owl!  She is AMAZING!  If you don't follow her, you should run over there now!!

I was so, so, so excited to be featured in the TPT newsletter a few weeks ago!  It was truly an amazing experience!  If you have ever submitted a freebie to the newsletter do not give up hope!  Keep trying!!  I loved the support that poured out not only from new followers, but also from friends!!  I have some amazing TPT, blogging and IG friends that are starting to turn into real life friends!!  #cloudten #smallfish #isitjulyyet

This April we are so excited that we are going to be celebrating our baby girl's second birthday!  I can't believe how quickly this is coming!  We are doing a Minnie Mouse theme, and I am so excited that the amazing Lindsey designed her birthday invites for us!!  I LOVE THEM!!

We have been talking a TON about Easter.  I teach in a private school, so I love that I am able to share a lot about what Easter truly means.  We have been having some great discussions about what Jesus had to go through before He died.  My Easter notebook has been great, because it has given the students time to reflect on each day as we have worked through it.

My Spring Math centers are some of my favorite, and they just got a huge facelift!!  You can check out a freebie from there here!

Good morning!  I am linking up this mooring with Doodle Bugs Teaching to bring you my Five for Friday!

What a week it has been!  I'm so excited that we are in the middle of a HUGE reading contest at school!  We have been going since February 14, and the contest ends THIS SUNDAY!!  My kids have been reading like CRAZY!!  We have been in the lead all contest, but there are many classes who are trying to beat us this week!

This week I was able to help my friend Ashley update the look of her blog a little!  I am by no means as amazing as Lindsey, but I helped give her a header and a button until she's ready to work with Lindsey!

There are lots of changes going on at my school, and lots of rumors flying around!  I have always been the only third grade teacher, and there is a rumor that we will be doubling next year!  OR that I will have a class of 29!  I know that isn't big for some of you, but that's a HUGE class for us.  When I started in 2008 I was told the largest class size would be 22!  I'm hoping we'll have some answers by next week, because then I think that will mean big things for me!!  :)

I am so, so, so thankful that I was featured in the TPT newsletter on Sunday!!  It is amazing to have people who support you and believe in you!  Not only was I featured in the newsletter, but I was able to connect with so many amazing bloggers and IG friends who are starting to turn into real life friends!  This has been an amazing week for me, and has been my best MONTH yet!!  Even with all of the sales, giveaways, and promotions I have done, TPT has by far helped me the most!  Thank you to all of you who believe in me, like what I do, and support me!!  I appreciate you so much!!

Be on the lookout for a giveaway coming up soon too!!  Maybe around April 12?!

This week's video really spoke to me while I was driving up to my parent's house last weekend!  It has been my song for the week!

I hope that you've all had as great of a Sunday as I have!!

I woke up this morning in Prescott with my babies, and we enjoyed a FANTASTIC sermon at my parent's church!!  I LOVED IT!!

Then when I got home I realized that I was in this week's TPT Newsletter!!  #cloudten #smallfish

Tonight I am linking up with The Teaching Trio to bring you my Sunday Scoop!

Our school is in the middle of a HUGE reading contest right now!  My class has been winning the whole contest, but this last week everyone works super hard because the prize is a paid day off for the teacher.  My class always looses in the end because everyone else pushes so hard!

My husband's school auction is Friday night!  I'm excited for our date night!  We haven't had one in a long time!

I started reading a new book, The Last Little Blue Envelope, and I love it!!  It's a YA novel, but these are my favorite.

I can't wait to finish my taxes!!  We are going to be getting some money back!!  YES!!

Okay friends, I didn't make it very far AT ALL!!  Who would have thought that VCU would lose in the first round to a 10 seed!!  Not so good for my personal bracket either!!

I am giving away my Superhero Math product!  My students LOVE it!!  We had a lot of fun with it back in January for our Superhero Day.

My third graders LOVED it, and my first grade friends did too!!

I am so excited that I have the opportunity to collaborate with so many AMAZING bloggers!!  Over the weekend Ashlyn messaged me and wanted to know what I thought about a March Madness giveaway!

I told her it sounded AMAZING!!!

Then I reached out to some friends, she reached out to some friends, and her baby was born!!

I am so excited to be teaming up with 64 amazing people to compete and see which team wins!!

You won't want to miss out on the fun either!!

Each time a team looses that blogger will be giving away a product on their blog!!  Make sure to check out these blogs below so you can see what is going on!!

Here's hoping VCU goes far!!  :)  I am pretty sure I'll be out in the next round though, and loose to Erin!

Good morning!  I am linking up this morning from Northern California with the Teaching Trio to bring you my Sunday Scoop!!

I have spent my spring break up here in the beautiful Sonoma County for my sister's wedding festivities!  We did her wedding shower last weekend, and I am just coming off her bachelorette weekend this morning!  During the week I had an amazing time, which you can read even more about here.

I created my Easter IN over break, so I have it all ready, I just need to finish printing and copying the response sheets for my kids!  I LOVE it, and can't wait to share the amazing Easter story with my kids!!

I'm hoping to start my summer To Do list this month.  I have a lot of ideas in my head, but I want to start getting them down onto paper so I can prioritize what I want to tackle this summer!!

I am so excited to be headed home today so I can see my husband and son!  I have spent time away from them before, but usually my husband was away too, and my kids were always with grandma and grandpa.  This type of trip was a first for our family of four!  I am hoping my husband survived, because he has to do it again in May!!  :)

Go check out the Teaching Trio to see what everyone else is up to this Sunday!

I was talking with Ashley Thursday night and I was telling her how much I wished I worked with more people like her and Angie!  I could go on and name so many more!  I know you have your favorites too!!  Jennifer, Ashlyn, Amy, Kristen, Marcy, Nicole, Sarah, Heather, how can I just name a few?!

But . . . then I got to thinking.

How great is it that we all have this PASSION and DRIVE to be the best teachers we can be?!  Sure, there may be days when we are down, or wish that things had gone differently, BUT we are still working hard.  We still put in the hours it takes to create the perfect lesson or idea to help our students succeed.  We work before school, after school, and during our "breaks" to make sure that we have the best we can possibly have to give to our students.

We aren't only trying to teach a whole class lesson, but we are trying to reach that one students who is still confused about the long a or short a sound.  We're trying to find hands on ideas to help our students master the difference between perimeter, area, and volume.  We work hard to make sure every student can read.  And EXCELL!

I work with some amazing people!  These ladies help me get through the day!  They share my determination to think outside the box, and to explore more than the textbook.  They help me be a better teacher!

I am so excited for Vegas this summer, I even use my new favorite hashtag #isitjulyyet ALL THE TIME!!  I can't wait to meet up with so many people that have the same passion, and drive that I do.  Being a mom is amazing, and something that I wouldn't trade for the world, but I LOVE teaching.  I love finding ways to challenge my students, motivate them to do their best, and to stay away from that copy machine!

I can't wait to connect, and be in a room full of people who have this same love that I do!!  I have started my bucket list for who I can't wait to meet in Vegas, who I can't wait to spend some more time with, and who I want to sit down and brainstorm with!  I know the conference will be over before I know it, but I am truly looking forward to what I believe will be an eye opening, exciting, AMAZING experience!!

Good morning!!  I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday.  It's been a fun week so I hope you enjoy!

I am LOVING Spring Break!!  My mom, daughter and I drove to California Friday night, and we made it by 2:30!  We threw my sister a wedding shower on Sunday!  It was a ton of fun, and we had some yummy food!

Monday night I was able to meet up with Amy for dinner!  It was AMAZING!!  I love this lady!!  I am so thankful for the amazing journey that TPT has put me in, and for the INCREDIBLE people that I have met.  I am so thankful for a supportive husband who asks me about these friends, and encourages me to meet up with these women.  Amy is incredible, and I think we have a lot in common!  Our babies are not too far apart, and we just hit it off!  I am so happy that she is going to be in Vegas too!  We can be two small fish in the ocean together!

On Tuesday I headed down to the Bay Area to hang out with my bestie and her baby!!  We went to the Oakland Zoo, and spent the day with our babies and the animals!!  It was a great day of fun!!  After the zoo we went to my besties and spent the night.  It was great to be able to catch up, and get some quality girl time in!!  I miss her so much!!

We have spent some time cleaning out my grandma's house this week.  She fell and broke her arm a few weeks ago, and we had to clean out her apartment so that way she wouldn't get hurt again.  My mom and I found some fun things in her apartment.

Here is this week's video!  I love this song!  The lead singer of Casting Crowns had surgery earlier this week, and it's amazing the support and trust in God that both him and his family have.  I shared it with my staff earlier this year too, as I believe it definitely talks about us as teachers too.

This morning I am linking up with you to share my Wordless Wednesday!!

When was the last time you were in a wedding!?  I haven't been in a wedding since my best friend got married in 2010.  I get to wear this beauty May 30!  Now I just have to find the perfect shoes.  :)

We celebrated Read Across America last Monday as part of our spirit week!  It was a great week!

We started the morning reading with our chapel buddies, they're 7th graders.  We are in the middle of a school wide reading competition, and the 7th grade teacher keeps talking a good game!  We are working hard to win, and my kids chose chapter books to read with their buddies just so they wouldn't have quizzes to take!

Having students reading on Read Across America Day is the best thing to do! Getting them reading new books is a ton of fun too!

After morning recess we read some Dr. Seuss books and then took some AR quizzes to try and win this competition!

We did some writing, where we wrote our own versions of a Wocket in Your Pocket.  The kids came up with some funny things!

After lunch recess the first graders came up to hang out with us!!

Having students work with a partner on fun writing days helps the process to move quicker as you are usually limited on these types of days!

They each colored their own The Cat in the Hat, and then they wrote a story about what would happen if they hung out with The Cat in the Hat.  We had some clever stories!  They wrote their stories, after we watched Justin Bieber read us The Cat in the Hat.  They LOVED it!!

Finding awesome Youtube videos or movies that tie in with your day are a great way to bring classes together and end your crazy busy day with some calm!

We ended our day with a fun Dr. Seuss movie!!  Thank you Target!!
I am excited to be linking up, late, but linking up tonight with The Teaching Trio for the Sunday Scoop!

I am so excited to be on Spring Break this week!  I am super excited that I am spending it in Northern California too!  I am up in the area where my grandma lives, so I get to spend the week with my mom, daughter, sister and grandma.

I am also meeting up with Amy, fun Fun in Room 3 tomorrow night!!  I can't wait to meet Amy!!  I have been friends with Amy on IG for a long time now, and I am so excited to finally meet this sweet girl!

I am hoping to spend some time working ahead this week, but I am really looking forward to spending time with friends instead!

Next weekend I am hosting a bachelorette party, so I am looking forward to that, but need to make sure I have everything ready!  I hope the rest of you have a great week!!

Teaching Trio
What a week it's been!  I love linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to bring you my Five for Friday!

I'm so excited to print this freebie I found from Jenny and have it ready for my sub to use while I am out of town after Spring Break!  It is going to be so fun to have my room decorated with shamrocks in so many different ways!

It has been a CRAZY week here for me!  We had our a spirit week, and of course I was in charge of way TOO much!  We had our school talent show Tuesday night, which is always a TON of fun, but so much work ahead of time!  The dress rehearsal was on Monday.  Today is Grandparent's Day, and my class is in charge of chapel.  I know they are going to do great!

Last weekend I went to Ed Camp Phoenix, and it was AMAZING!!  First, I was able to meet up with a few of my fellow Arizona bloggers!  Second I was able to learn about so many great tools that I didn't know about.  I can't wait to put some of them into practice so I can make my classroom and school that much better!

Today I'm headed up to Northern California as soon as I get out of school.  We are piling into the car, and heading out.  This week we are going to celebrate my sister!  She is getting married May 30, so I am throwing her wedding shower on Sunday, and then her bachelorette party next weekend!  It is going to be a crazy week, and a busy week, but I am excited to see my best friend, former 2nd grade teacher, and Amy from Fun in Room 3!!

Here is this week's video!  I couldn't help but sing along while I was grading papers Thursday night when this song came on!!  LOVE IT!
