Five for Friday ~ March 27

Good morning!  I am linking up this mooring with Doodle Bugs Teaching to bring you my Five for Friday!

What a week it has been!  I'm so excited that we are in the middle of a HUGE reading contest at school!  We have been going since February 14, and the contest ends THIS SUNDAY!!  My kids have been reading like CRAZY!!  We have been in the lead all contest, but there are many classes who are trying to beat us this week!

This week I was able to help my friend Ashley update the look of her blog a little!  I am by no means as amazing as Lindsey, but I helped give her a header and a button until she's ready to work with Lindsey!

There are lots of changes going on at my school, and lots of rumors flying around!  I have always been the only third grade teacher, and there is a rumor that we will be doubling next year!  OR that I will have a class of 29!  I know that isn't big for some of you, but that's a HUGE class for us.  When I started in 2008 I was told the largest class size would be 22!  I'm hoping we'll have some answers by next week, because then I think that will mean big things for me!!  :)

I am so, so, so thankful that I was featured in the TPT newsletter on Sunday!!  It is amazing to have people who support you and believe in you!  Not only was I featured in the newsletter, but I was able to connect with so many amazing bloggers and IG friends who are starting to turn into real life friends!  This has been an amazing week for me, and has been my best MONTH yet!!  Even with all of the sales, giveaways, and promotions I have done, TPT has by far helped me the most!  Thank you to all of you who believe in me, like what I do, and support me!!  I appreciate you so much!!

Be on the lookout for a giveaway coming up soon too!!  Maybe around April 12?!

This week's video really spoke to me while I was driving up to my parent's house last weekend!  It has been my song for the week!

  1. Congratulations on being featured in the TpT newsletter!! That's very exciting! I hope you find out about your class size next year-- that kind of waiting can be very stressful.
Hope you have a great weekend!

  2. Oh wow! Congratulations! I can't imagine how that felt! I feel excited if I get one new follower! LOL. I just started in December, but I have had lots of encouragement from the TPT community so far.
I HOPE you do not have a class of 29. There's even a huge difference from 20 kids to 22 kids. It can change the whole dynamic of the room!! Good luck with that!!

  4. Congrats on your newsletter appearance! I am super impressed with your blog design skills! It's super cute! I'll be crossing my fingers for another 3rd grade class, because no one wants a larger class size! Have a great week!
