I am excited to share a few things about myself today!!  I hope that you enjoy getting to know me a little more!!

Dutch Bros coffee is one of my favorite things

Dutch Bros. is my favorite place to stop for coffee or smoothies!!  I tend to stop there on Tuesdays or Fridays!  Who doesn't love a treat to help them get through the week.  I feel like the Dutch Bros. company is much friendly than Starbucks, and it may just be the hours I drive through, but Dutch Bros is alway very upbeat!!  LOVE their music too!!

Teacher shirts make for a great outfit for Fridays

If you follow me on IG, then you are probably very familiar with my teacher shirts!  I LOVE that I can wear t-shirts on Fridays, and I LOVE that my teaching friends like to rock them with me!!

Third graders help make my life fun!!

Third grade has my heart, and probably always will!  Last year my class was all about their #hashtags, and they came up with #thirdgradersrcrazy We loved using it, and they started using hashtags for EVERYTHING!!

My sweet babies are my world

My sweet babies are my world!!  They are such a blessing, and I don't know what I would do without them.  I am so thankful that I am their mom, and I LOVE moments like this when they are playing nicely and being the amazing little people I know they are!

Beyond Blessed - thanks to TPT

The TPT journey I have been on has been AMAZING!!  I have made some amazing friends thanks to TPT.  I am in Facebook groups, I am in group texts, and I get to connect to so many people across the country.  Even more than that I get to give my students the best that I can.  I know that I am not great at everything, I know I don't have time to create  perfect lesson for every subject every day.  Thanks to TPT I can find those amazing resources to give my kids what they need!!

Thanks for learning a little bit more about me!!  I can't wait to learn more about you!!  Make sure you head over to Blog Hoppin' so you can link up too!!

Hey, everyone! I'm so excited to support my dear friend, Cassandra, and her fabulous idea of "30 Amazing Teachers!" This will be a wonderful way to learn more about teacher bloggers and specific ideas or products they have! So, without further ado, check out one of my newest products!

(HINT: read the whole post for a surprise at the end!)

This year, I'm moving back to 5th grade and teaching literacy and Social Studies! I'm thrilled about being departmentalized and simply focusing on those subjects. Not to mention, I love the change and challenge this provides me in my career. When I found out I was moving, I knew I wanted to create a year long work on writing pack that supported upper grades. I also knew that I wanted to create something that could be supported by using spiral notebooks or actual writing papers. (It all depends on the teacher's preference)

What does this product include?

- Common Core Standards for 5th, 6th, and 7th grade
- Optional planning pages
- Optional writing pages
- Grading rubric
- Monthly prompts (six for each month)
- Covers for each month if you choose to place this in a binder!

Click on the cover page to take you to the product itself!

Want to try this out, but not sure if you need the full year? I've got you covered! Click on the image below to take you to a sample of the product! Enjoy and I would love to hear your feedback!

Thank you, Cassandra for hosting this wonderful opportunity!

Happy Sunday everyone!!  I can't believe that I am already beginning my fourth week of school!  This school year is just flying by!

We have a short week this week too!  On Friday we go to another local private school for a training all day.  It's a day with no students, but still a day of working together.

I am linking up with Deedee to bring you my peek at my week!!

We are finishing up our social studies and English units this week before we head into the long holiday.  On Wednesday we are going to prepare for our tests by playing Bingo and a scoot game!!  Both of these things are included in the Changes in Technology pack!

We have been using Marcy Cook Tiles and I am in LOVE!!  We have been using the iPads to take pictures of their finished pages so I can go back and check how they are doing.  I love using these too because there are so many different skills that they can practice.

You can download my plans here and click the images to get links to the products.

I hope that you all have a great week!!

I don't know about you, but I feel like this week has just been dragging.  It is still SOOO HOT here in Arizona, and we are roasting out at recess and lunch duty.  I seriously CAN NOT wait for Halloween, just because then it will start to get nice and drop down to the 90s around here!

I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching today to bring you my Five for Friday!!  Amen it's Friday!!

This past weekend I celebrated my 30th birthday!!  I went out with some girlfriends Friday night, and then had family time over the weekend!  It was GREAT!!  I was so excited to be able to spend time with my friends and celebrate!!  I am also excited for my new 30 Amazing Teachers!!  On Monday nights for the next year I will be sharing 30 AMAZING teachers with you!!

30 Amazing Teachers hosted by Mrs 3rd Grade

To help celebrate my birthday I got a Stitch Fix box!!  I LOVED it!!  You can read more about it here!!

Stitch Fix reveal by Mrs 3rd Grade - birthday box

I was scrolling through IG the other day, my favorite form of social media and I stumbled upon this treasure!!  You have no idea how full it made my heart!!  Angie was one of the first bloggers I met in real life!!  I met her and Ashly in Vegas last summer, and they welcomed me with open arms!  I LOVE all things Angie and Ashley, and was so excited to see that I made Angie's wall!!

Angie and her amazing board for inspiration at school

I started selling Origami Owl earlier this summer as a way to pay for my babies to be able to go to preschool!  I am LOVING it, and LOVING the jewelry!!  I ordered our new watch set earlier this week and it came in on Wednesday!!  I can't wait to show it off!

To help celebrate my 30th birthday I decided it was time to give Stitch Fix a try again!  If you haven't heard of Stitch Fix yet you'll want to check it out!!  It is a company that does your shopping for you!  They will send you five times.  Then you have time to try the items on, and decide what you want to keep!

Stitch Fix fashion for teachers, 4 outfits in 5 pieces

I was so excited when my box showed up Wednesday night, in time for me to figure out what I wanted to wear for my birthday!

When I pulled the pieces out I was excited by the colors, but wasn't so excited about what they all looked like!

Stitch Fix dress - birthday box revealStitch Fix jeans and cardigan - birthday box reveal

At first I wasn't very excited about these pieces.  The dress was more tight fitting then I normally like to wear.  My husband really liked it though, so I decided to keep it for him.  The cardigan in the picture on the right is a little tighter than I like it to be too, but it is light weight, so I am going to keep it.  I don't normally wear a long sleeve cardigan either, but I do love the color too.

Stitch Fix shirt - birthday box revealStitch Fix jeans and tank - birthday box reveal

These three pieces I LOVED!!  The shirt on the left was comfy, cute and super affordable for me!!  The outfit on the right is totally an outfit I will wear out!!  I was going to wear it out Friday night for my birthday dinner, but it was still way too hot here!!  I LOVE the fit of these jeans!!  They are AMAZING!!  They were way more than I would ever have paid for jeans, or that I would have even tried on.  I was very skeptical at first, but was so excited with how great they fit!!

Overall, I LOVED my box, and can't wait to figure out when I can try this again.  Stitch Fix is more than I would normally pay for clothes so this is not something I can do all of the time.  I am thinking that I will try another box for Christmas!  If you are interested in checking it out, then please feel free to check it out by using my link!!

Stitch Fix shirt - birthday box reveal - ready for work

This weekend I turned 30!!  I have an amazing family who spoiled me, and amazing friends who made me feel loved all week long!!  I went out with some of my bloggy besties last weekend, and went out with my work besties Friday night!!

Saturday was the big day, and I turned 30!!  As the day was rapidly approaching I keep thinking about how great my 20s were!  I graduated college, got married, moved to AZ, and had two babies!!  My 20s were life changing!!  I also started this amazing blogging and TPT journey in my 20s.

Now I am 30, and I have such high hopes and expectations for what I want my 30s to look like!!  One of the things I was trying to figure out was how I was going to CELEBRATE turning 30!! I don't mind that I'm 30 now, I don't mind that I'm not in my 20s any more.  I know that I am much wiser now then I was when I started teaching.  I know more now then I did when I started teaching.  I also know now where my support system is!!

I have AMAZING friends through my blogging and TPT life and I wanted to recognize that!!  To do this I came up with 30 Amazing Teachers!!

I am so excited for this series because I am going to be bringing you a different AMAZING teacher on Monday nights!!  There are only 52 weeks in a year, so there will be some weeks where there will be an amazing teacher here every week, but then there will be some every other week!!  I will make sure to let you know!!

This amazing journey will be kicking off NEXT WEEK, August 31, with a bloggy pal that I was so excited to meet in Vegas this summer!!!

Crystal, from The Balanced Teacher, is AMAZING!!  You won't want to miss it!!  Make sure to come back next Monday to check out what she has for you!!
I am excited to be diving into my second full week of school this week.  I took this last week to really get to know my kids, figure out what they are capable of, and we reworked our plans knowing what they can do in the time we have now.

You can download a PDF version of these plans with the hyperlinks for you here!!

I am loving our thankful cards, and am so excited to see what my kids are thankful for every week!

We are loving learning about changes in technology too!  It is so fun to see what they think before we start learning about the lessons!

I'm really excited to dive into our math notebooks this week, and start with Angie's Telling Time unit!!  This unit is great, and gives my kids the extra practice and review they need to show me they understand!

Thanks for checking out what I'm up to this week!!

I got home from dinner with a friend Wednesday night and I was so excited that this beautiful box of clothes was waiting for me at my door!!  I plan on sharing more about it later, but let me just say that this is only the second time I've have a Stitch Fix box delivered and I am keeping ALL five pieces!!

Our worship leader sang this song in church on Sunday, and I LOVED it!!  I texted him Sunday afternoon to find out what it was!  I am so glad that I did!  This song has been on repeat all week for me!

Today I am linking up with Mrs. Wills' Kindergarten to give you a peek into my week!!

This week we are DIVING straight into our first social studies unit, English unit, religion unit and jumping into our math book.  We use Saxon math, and I am personally not a fan.  This week we are going to be talking A LOT about what my expectations are during our math blocks, and how I hope to use them to help them grow!!

You can click on my lesson plans to download the PDF that has links for all of the products that I will be using this week!!

I am starting to work on an English IN because we couldn't find one that we loved and wanted to use with our kids!  I am excited to work on this and help it grow as we go.
