Wordless Wednesday - Salad Time

Good morning!!  I am linking up again this week with Christina from Sugar and Spice!

I do have to say, this link up has been my favorite one to make sure that I participate in each week!

In Vegas I was able to see the amazing Rachelle from What the Teacher Wants.  I didn't really know who she was at that point, so I started looking more into these teacher celebrities.  :)  I was blown away by where Rachelle came from, and her journey over the past year.  If you haven't read about it, you should find out more here!!

I have been motivated to start eating healthier, so I have been trying to have a salad EVERY DAY!!  I know it may not seem like a lot, but it is a step in the right direction.  (Don't mind the hot dogs in the corner of the picture, those are for baby girl!)

So, my Wordless Wednesday question, that has been a little wordy, is, what is your favorite salad or salad topping!?!

  1. I love love love candied almonds. My mom used to roast them in the oven and them crumble them on top of a strawberry vinagerette salad. Oh yum-o! :)

  2. Wow she really is an inspiration! I love love love apples in my salad. Yes, croutons are my favorite topping but in an effort to eliminate carbs, I choose apples. They are crunchy and tart and delicious!

  3. I love toasted pecans, apples, blue cheese and balsamic vinaigrette dressing!!
That is so cool that you go to go to Vegas!!!

  4. Hello C Hath! This is a good question. I'm always interested in learning from others when it comes to salad stuff. I have discovered chop salads. They are sold in the produce department with other lettuce salads, but the ones I am talking about are the ones that have lettuce and Kale in them. Costco sells a delicious one, and Kroger carries a line too. My favorite at Kroger is the Asian. I have also recently discovered Bolthouse Yogurt based dressings. They come in all the usual flavors, but have much less fat and calories, and are delicious. They are also sold in the refrigerated produce sections in grocery stores. Thanks for sharing.

  5. I like sunflower seeds on mine and fruit (strawberries & blueberries are summertime favorites, apples in the fall...anything goes in the winter since nothing is in season here).

  6. Oooo that looks super yummy! I love putting black beans on my salads!! YUM!
