Five for Friday ~ June 5

What a week it has been!  I can't believe I am already finishing up my second week of summer!!

This morning I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to bring you my Five for Friday!

Last week I traveled to Northern California to celebrate my sister's wedding!  It was such a great weekend!  My sister has never been so happy!!  I clearly had fun with the chalkboard sign in the bridal suite too!  I'm sad we didn't bring it out!  #bridalsuite #hair4days #demario53015

I love my sister, and am super glad that I was able to spend time with her last week for her wedding, but one of my favorite parts was that we drove.  Now it's not because I got to sit in the car all day Sunday and Monday driving home, it's because we were able to drive through "home."  I moved away for college in 2003, and never moved back home, but it will always be home to me.  I have even lived in Arizona since 2008, and my parents moved out of my childhood home in 2011, but I still call my hometown home!

Why do I have to drive 11 hours north to get homemade AMAZING Mexican food when I live in Arizona?!!

When I got home I told my hubby that we needed to head to Target!  On IG a few people had posted pictures of these amazing $12 shorts they had picked up!  I knew I wanted to go look, because thanks to Whole 30 I was feeling pretty good!  I also found the cones that had popped up on IG!  I am thinking of using those on my VIP table!!  I also grabbed some more pen cups, or other buckets for organizing.  I found those amazing lanterns too!!  Of course I can never go into Target and not get something for my classroom!

This week I linked up with THREE book studies!!  I am so excited for each of them, and I feel like them compliment each other so well!!  Hello Sunshine Teachers is doing Mindsets in the Classroom, The Kindergarten Smorgasbord is doing Teaching with Intention, and The Primary Gal is doing Learn like a Pirate!  I LOVE them, and can't wait to continue to dive into them this summer!

This week's video is one that has always spoken to me.  It came across the Pandora station I was listening to this week, and I knew I wanted to share it!  I hope that you enjoy it!

  3. Week 2 of your summer seems to be a great one! Congrats to your sister!! I just finished my last day of school today so now I can have some summer fun too! I heard this song several years ago on a missions trip and fell in love with it! It's one of my favorites!

  4. How exciting about your sister's wedding! Looks like so much fun! I have a slight obsession with lanterns, so maybe I need to do a Target trip too. We studied Mindset as a staff this year - It was good and really helped inspire good reflection.
