I wish that I could share these beautiful pictures with you all about my home office! Instead I will share with you, where I work when I'm at home.
I really try not to work too much when I'm home since I have my babies at home with me. My three year old and two year old do not enjoy it too much when mommy is sitting in front of her computer. Plus if I'm working when I'm at home then I am not getting to spend time with them. Let's face it, I spend LOTS of time in my classroom, away from them. If I continue to work when they are awake at home, then that is even more time I am not spending with them.
When I am home I typically sit at my dinning room table. I sit down here because then I am further away from my kids. My office upstairs is very close to the bedrooms so I try to stay downstairs so that way I won't wake them up.
I also like to go to Starbucks to get some work done. It is typically a nice and quiet place for me to work. My hubby keeps the kids while I do this so that way I can run out for an hour or two at a time to get some blogging, reading or creating done.
One day I may have an office again, but for now I am happy that my babies are young and their toys are all over the place!
Make sure you check out all of the other blogs to see the beautiful home offices!
You are so smart - those babies are going to be all grown up before you know it!
ReplyDeleteAnd no matter where you work, you always manage to create wonderful resources and write fun newsy blog posts! :o)
Hey girl! I totally get the working mom mentality. It is so hard to find a balance sometimes but I love that your priority are those littles of yours because the time just flies by for sure! Thanks for linking up again with us! I'm sure I've said this before but I really love your blog design. Super cute!
ReplyDeleteI think your space is fine! A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do! ;))

Starbucks is a great office space! And definitely enjoy those babies as much as possible! No one will ever fault you for that :)

This post was so refreshing! Thank you for being real :) Your kiddos are lucky to have a mama with her priorities in order! Time goes by way to quickly to not spend as much time with them as possible. I'm pretty amazed at how much you accomplish in the hours between their bedtime and your own! #impressive!
